Commission Terms of Service

These general Terms of Service are a copy of those listed within the Thumbnail Art Commission Price Guide, and may be subject to change depending on the project (for example, file size and contents). For the full Thumbnail Guide, View the PDF here.
*I have the right to refuse any project.
*No refunds unless I completely fail to deliver a project.
*Payments must be made upfront at the time I start the project or send the first update.
*I am currently only accepting payments through Venmo, though this could change in the future.
*The prices reflect the amount of time it takes to complete the artwork, the attention I put into it to keep it up to my standards, and my years of experience and education in digital media.
*What is Included:
(Specific to thumbnails and commercial projects only)
- You will get a 4k (3840x2160px) final .PNG export of the thumbnail.
- A .PSD file of the final composition is available upon request.
- Separate elements, for example each character drawn, will also be included in their own exports when possible.
- I like to check in twice throughout the process so that we can work together on the best outcome, the first during the drawing or layout phase and the second during the compositing phase.
- I include a commercial license with each project.
- You will get a .ZIP folder with all of the files mentioned.
*Terms of use of the final product will be described in the license included in the .ZIP folder.
*For the second check-in, I will send the near-final thumbnail so that you can request any (reasonable) changes before I move onto rendering the final exports. Some examples of reasonable changes include moving elements around and changing strokes (borders) of elements. An unreasonable change would be redrawing characters, for example.
*Once the final .ZIP is delivered, please check its contents to make sure no files are corrupted and the .PSD (if requested) functions properly. If such issues arise, notify me within 48 hours of delivery so that I can fix it and get a new .ZIP to you.
*Please keep in mind that artwork, and especially certain styles and levels of complexity of artwork, does take a considerable amount of time. Thumbnails may take up to 4 weeks to complete, subject to more depending on the project’s place in my queue. Therefore, please keep the planned publication date of your content in mind when ordering a project.
*Before confirming the order, I will be sending questions to help formulate an idea of the thumbnail as well as price based on what is best for the thumbnail's design. As previously mentioned, I have the right to turn down a project.
*If you decide to cancel your order and I have not started yet, you can receive a full refund per thumbnail cancelled. If I have started and have not reached the shading or color phase on any character/element, you can receive a refund minus $10 per thumbnail cancelled. If I have gotten to the shading or color phase, you will not receive a refund.
